Calibration tracking
Know which instruments are in calibration.
Torque wrenches, gas detectors, insulation testers and load cells all run on a calibration cycle. Hovermarks keeps the cycle, the certificate and the next due date on each instrument's QR-labeled record.
Calibration tracking runs on the certificate register in the Professional plan. Record the calibration certificate and Hovermarks sets the last and next calibration dates, so the due date comes from the certificate, not from someone retyping it.
A cycle on each instrument
Set the calibration interval in days on the asset form or in a spreadsheet import, next to serial number, make and model.
The certificate sets the dates
Upload the calibration certificate to the certificate register. Recording it sets the instrument's last calibrated and next calibration dates.
Due, overdue and coming up
Filter the asset list to instruments due or overdue for calibration, and use the calibration forecast report to see what's due now and in the next 30, 60 and 90 days.
AI reads the certificate
With AI turned on, the text of an uploaded certificate is extracted and its type, dates and holder are suggested for you to confirm.
Expiry reminders
Certificates with an expiry date get reminders 30, 14 and 1 days before they expire.
Plans and limits
Calibration dates, the certificate register and expiry reminders are on Professional. On Starter and during the free trial you can store a calibration interval, but the dates only come from a calibration certificate, so the due and overdue views stay empty.
What it does not do
- No calibration results, tolerances or as-found and as-left readings.
- No separate calibration-due email; reminders come from certificate expiry dates.
- Calibration dates can't be imported from a spreadsheet; they come from certificates.
- Hovermarks doesn't calibrate or certify anything. Your calibration lab does; Hovermarks keeps the record.
Frequently asked questions
- Which plan includes calibration tracking?
- Professional. It uses the certificate register, which is a Professional feature. Starter can store the interval but not the dates.
- Can I track the test equipment my inspectors use?
- Yes. Any asset can have a calibration interval and certificates, so your meters and testers sit in the same register as the equipment they test.
- Does Hovermarks replace the calibration lab's certificate?
- No. The lab's certificate is the evidence. Hovermarks stores it with the instrument and tracks when the next one is due.
